Merry Christmas From Our Home to Yours!

The Curtis family has had an amazing year.  It began in January with our adoption becoming final in the state of Vermont.  We were so blessed to have family and friends with us in the court room to take part in a very special day in our lives!
Joseph has had many firsts this year: he began walking and talking, climbing on EVERYTHING, going to the beach/ocean, playing in the leaves and building his first snowman to name a few. Joseph is growing up so very fast and we have enjoyed every moment of watching him grow and experience the world around him.
We have had a few very special visitors this year.  Our niece Paige visited us this summer from North Carolina and Julie’s sister Lisa and her boyfriend Andre visited this fall all the way from Alaska (they have since moved to Hawaii).  We enjoyed our time with them and hope that they all come back to VT to visit us soon!
We had the honor of sharing our adoption story at a Bethany Christian Services fundraising event in May alongside Joseph’s birth mother, Becca.  We were also very blessed to have Becca come to our church to share her story with 70 teenagers.  God used her in big ways that night!
Matt had a great crop of grapes this year from the Curtis Family Vineyard.  Joseph sure wished that we had just left them as grapes rather than squishing them into wine as he was enjoying eating them - ripe or not!  We are waiting to see how the wine turns out.
Matt participated in several running events this year – a few 5k’s, a 15k, 2 half marathons and a few others.  He is already registered to do a few more races next year including hopefully his first full marathon in the spring.
Julie has enjoyed being a stay at home mom to Joseph!  What a blessing it is to be able to see him learn new things and grow first hand.  She has also begun a playgroup in our home for families at our church.   In her free time she has created a blog titled “My Family Life.”  If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do!  www.curtisfamilylifeadventures.blogspot.com
We would like to wish your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  God Bless!
Love - Matt, Julie & Joseph Curtis
