Today We Were Tourists

This afternoon we were tourists in our own state.  With our dear friend Becca here for a visit, we couldn't help but take her to some fun Vermont attractions.  What we learned from our experience today is that we are blessed to live in this beautiful state and be able to visit all of these wonderful places when they are not as crowded as they are during peak foliage season.

We began at Cold Hollow Cider Mill.  They were unfortunately not making cider today but we were still able to taste the apple cider and enjoy some cider donuts.

Then we headed to the Cabot Annex to buy some yummy cheese - we didn't get to sample all the cheeses because the line was quite long.  We also went to Lake Champlain Chocolates.

Next, we of course went to Ben & Jerry's where we had hoped to take a tour - along with a few hundred other visitors.  So we didn't take the tour but we did buy a pint of ice cream to share in the car (since it was chilly outside).

We took a scenic drive home.  Although most of the leaves have fallen off the trees, Vermont is still a beautiful place.

Joseph must have had a lot of fun because he is wiped out!
