It Is Fun To Serve

Joseph and I assembled 70 Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes (and we plan to tackle 100 more tomorrow).  These boxes will be filled by our church and members of the community and sent to children around the world who may never have received a gift before.  Joseph learned that serving God by assembling and stacking (and re-stacking) boxes can be fun!    We also prayed over the boxes as we assembled them that each and every one of them will get filled and that the boy or girl who receives the shoe box will not only be blessed by the items inside but more importantly that they will learn about the love and grace of God.

Below is the shoe box that our family assembled a few weeks ago.  Joseph talks about this shoebox and "Goldie" the bear often!
